Digital Nomad – Freelancer – LifeExplorer – Travelblogger 🦋
Feel free to follow or join me on my quest and invite others to it.
Honestly, I have no clue – whatsoever – what direction my life will take from here. The only thing I do know is that I want to travel and explore, take some classes around the world (meditation, fengshui, photography, languages, cooking, …) and make some – hopefully interesting – documentaries about all my adventures ahead to leave at least a positive and hopefully a lasting impression. A positive difference would be the most rewarding for me. But first: let’s start, somewhere, somehow, now…with babysteps!
Off course, before being able to leave my home country and start living an #unsettled life as a digital nomad some savings are crucial. The only thing keeping me from leaving on my quest at this stage is money (working on it!) as the uncertainty of being able to earn my living on the road as a #freelancer, travelblogger or even as a LifeExplorer remains a big leap of faith without any financial backup.
The current social climate, our society today, the era we live in…they all contribute to an agitated and even aggressive mindset of many people nowadays. I can’t help believing that we’re still using the basics and mindset of the 20th century industrial revolution with which we’re trying to handle/tackle the challenges of the 21st century digital revolution but due to a lack of critical thinkers and the many restrictions in many parts of the world (growing populism, closing borders, human trafficking, lack of freedom of speech, limited access to education, limited acces to clean water and food,…) we’re heading straight towards a total disaster and who knows an eventual takeover by aliens or at least by AI after a 3rd (nuclear?) world war.
This all sounds nearly as pessimistic as the depression I’ve ended up in a few months ago, but I’m not defeated yet…and neither is our society, the world we live in today.
Myself, I need to learn truly take care of “me”; our society on the other hand needs to learn take care of “each other” again and the world we live in, with respect and compassion for each other.
99% of the population is drowning in the rat race created by the 1% that rules the world today. The Roman Emperors used to have a formula for this, appeasing their poorest citizens: bread and circuses. Unfortunately we’re still living on bread in circuses nowadays since the crowd became brain death. Productivity became more important than humanity, as goes for money, politics, lobbying, power, the climate and so on…
Being a HSP I’ve always wanted and still want to help and contribute with a deep sense of justice, empathy, … even at own risk for depressions, burn-outs etc. Something I need to learn to balance for my own good it seams. In reality I just want to bring the “human” back in “humanity”… but how? I want it to be in a constructive and peacefully manner but I’m still contemplating, thinking, wondering, meditating, … on it for now.
To be continued…
